Description

blue dyed cotton cloth in two layers, sewn with metal discs arranged in pairs in twelve rows, sides and lower rim adorned with seeds (“Jobs tears”?) and miniature glass beads, strings of glass beads and metal bells on the upper rim, slightly dam., some tears/missing parts in the fabric, 5 metal discs missing;
in compliance with an ancient custom women wore no clothing until puberty and only from that time on a strip of cotton cloth was wrapped around the hips.
