Description

wood, black patina, red paint in some places, decorated with rectangular and diamond-shaped deepenings with inserted mirror glass, a tuft of red dyed goats hair on the upper end, slightly dam., mirror glass partly broken, on the backside partly missing;
Konyak men in the northern Mon District tie flat and wide pins into their hair at the back so that the hair is formed into a bun with the pin attached horizontally.
The hairpin indicated status.
