The front is carved with sixteen concentric circles arranged in pairs.

It is believed that this design was intended to baffle and confuse onlookers, giving the wearer a psychological advantage in battle.


The object War shield “ilo” with the object ID 3050566 was part of the auction 102nd Auction on April 13, 2024. The object with the lot number 324 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,000 with an asking price of EUR 600.
