Description

fine plant fibre netting (pandanus leaf?) with woven and embroidered geometrical patterns, from very soft and grippy structure, which indicates that it was actually worn, slightly dam., small tears, spots, embroidered threads dissolved in one place;
“Ralik” and “Ratak” are chains of islands within the island nation of the Marshall Islands. “Ralik” means “sunset” (west) and “Ratak” means “sunrise” (east).
