Description

terracotta, dark brown engobe, spherical body and long neck, ornamentally decorated, min. dam., minor missing parts, slight traces of abrasion;
pottery of the Mangbetu is distinguished by powerful shaping which in its ceramic creations, excluding figures, reminds of the archaic specimen of the Peruvian Chavin culture.
