Description

double layer of woven rattan, round forms, slightly vaulted, decorated with five, resp. seven plaques from brass in star-shaped openwork design, circularly arranged around a central element in the middle, metal eyelets backside for attachment of a handle, worked filigree and yet extremely stable, old age patina;
presumably from the times of the Dutch War with the Atjeh (now Aceh), which lasted from 1883 until 1904.
