cotton, woman’s skirt, dyed in black, a beige-coloured band in the middle, decorated with fine woven patterns in red and green; additional: sash, worn over a man’s kilt, beige-coloured, embroidered with patterns and figures, slightly dam., embroidered patterns partly detached;
among the Angami, girls wove sashes, armlets and belts for their friends or lovers. If a girl or a young woman was good at weaving, she tended to be very popular among the young men.
