a) small cloth bag, embroidered with coloured beads, m: 7 cm x 7,5 cm; b) rectangular leather bag with mirror inside, Plains, circular hide emblem attached, m: 9 cm x 11,5 cm, both with slight traces of usage.
Plains Indian warriors often kept their coveted trade mirrors in a special pouch. Mirrors were used to apply face pigment before going on the infamous “war trail”.
