Description

coarsely woven cream-white cotton, colourful feathers (Ara), each mounted on cream white velvet, glazed/ framed (74,5 cm x 64 cm)

The feathers are sewn on like a mosaic. The panels show the representation of a cat, respectively a bird in the centre.


The object Two rare featherwork panels, ca. 300-400 AD with the object ID 3046571 was last part of the auction 94th Tribal Art Auction at March 7, 2020 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 150 achieved a sales price of EUR 800.
