Description

wood with lacquer coating, reddish-brown, egg-shaped, carved in semi-relief openwork, one with farmer and giant buffalo, the second one with various apes in trees, each mounted on small wooden base;
“ojime” are beads used as slides to tighten the silk cord joining “inro” (a kind of closure; e.g. for the commonly used lacquer containers) and netsuke.


The object Two “ojime” with the object ID 3039273 was last part of the auction 81st Tribal Art Auction at October 31, 2015 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 41 achieved a sales price of EUR 130.
