Description

a) glass beads, of different form and colour, metal spacers inbetween, thread on plant fibre in 13 strings, small brass bells around outer rim, loop and piece of shell for closure, l: ca. 29,5 cm; b) two separate worked tubes, wrapped with beaded strings in red, blue and white, l: 35,5 cm;
in Naga society ornaments are symbol for the wearers membership to a certain clan, to an age group or to a rank.


The object Two necklaces with the object ID 3041667 was last part of the auction 85th Tribal Art Auction at March 4, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 14 achieved a sales price of EUR 450.
