ivory, a) l: 20 cm, combined with black material (ebony?), button-shaped head, spiral-ornament; b) l: 15 cm, flat head with two drilled holes;
hair pins were objects of prestige, for such thin staffs were difficult to carve. They were worn in hats by men, and by women in their hair.
