ivory, with disc-shaped head, min. dam., fine cracks, l: 22,5 cm (a) resp. 31 cm (b);
Mangbetu men wore hairpins at their hats, the women in their hair. They were objects of prestige because it was difficult to produce them and precious material ivory was used prodigally.
