Tlatilco is an archaeological site in the Valley of Mexico that was inhabited from around 1500 BC. The site became famous and gave its name to its typical clay statuettes, which mainly depict women with different costumes and hairstyles. These were probably used in fertility cults.


The object Two female figurines, Middle Preclassic, ca. 1200 to 500 BC with the object ID 3049357 was last part of the auction 99th Auction at November 12, 2022 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 200 achieved a sales price of EUR 600.
