The “iroke ifa” are used by the “babalawo” to tap on the divination tray in order to attract the attention of Orunmila, the god of the “ifa” oracle, when greeting him at the start of the oracle session.
Some “iroke ifa” are hollowed and have a clapper. They are used during invocations (b).
