Two bracelets and a small bag

bracelets, liana and orchid fibres, pigments, d: 9,5 resp. 10 cm; small bag, two-parted, b: 12 cm, h: 9 cm, Solomon Islands (?);
the art of artificially plaiting natural fibres can be found especially on the Isle of Manus (Admirality Islands) and on parts of the Solomon Islands. The bracelets were mainly worn on the upper arm and were additionally adorned with leaves, flowers and feathers on festive occasions.
