These ritual bowls were used by the Izzi in agricultural ceremonies especially related to yams cultivation. The first time that an object of this typology became known, it was erroneously classified as Tiv.
The object Two anthropomorphic ritual bowls with the object ID 3043901 was part of the auction 89th Tribal Art Auction on July 7, 2018. The object with the lot number 115 achieved a sales price of EUR 450 with an asking price of EUR 250.
