Description
wood, reddish brown patina, encrustations with red wood powder, remains of indigo blue paint, flat body with handle-shaped arms, typical characteristics of the Ede “ibeji”: the puckered face, as well as the lashes carved all the way around the eyes, slightly dam., traces of insect caused damage (right hand, at the back of the coiffure);
presumaby from the workshop of Agobunde of Ede from the Oyo area.
