a) pair of bangles “pancha rakshna”, Nepal, various metals (silver, copper, brass, iron), zoomorphic heads made of high-quality gold, 23 carat (!), d: 5.8 cm / 8.1 cm (inside/outside), h: 1.2 cm, weight: 49 g & 50 g

‘Pancha rakshna’ bracelets are said to protect the wearer from a variety of dangers. The five metals – iron, brass, copper, silver and gold – represent the five Buddhist tutelary gods, which have been worshipped in Nepal for centuries.

b) pair of bangles, Afghanistan / Pakistan, silver (950), filigree casting, with segment for opening, d: 4.7 cm / 8.2 cm (inside/outside), h: 1.6 cm, weight: 125 g & 123 g
