Description

brass, with patina, of various forms and sizes, comb- and swastika motifs;
produced by lost wax casting. The swastika sign probably originated in the Islamic north, where such signs were found engraved on stones, used as a safeguard against thieves. With two weights the interspace was poured out (mostly with lead) in order to increase their weight.
