Description

iron, wood, goat hair, plant fibre, animal hide, cloth, blade with brass and copper inlays

The “mandau” was traditionally used when hunting heads, and as a machete in daily life.

The sword is kept in a wooden scabbard with a second smaller scabbard “apis” made of palm leaf attached to the back. The additional “piso raout” blade inserted here is missing.
