“Mandau” is the traditional weapon of the Dayak people of Borneo. The often elaborately crafted swords serve as precious gifts and are used ceremonially. In earlier times, they are said to have been used for headhunting.


The object Sword “mandau” with the object ID 3052286 was part of the auction Collectors’ Items Sale on September 24, 2025. The object with the lot number 17 achieved a sales price of EUR 550 with an asking price of EUR 250.
