iron with brass, “maru gata” with two “hitsu-ana”, with cut-out design, called “sukashi”, depicting the crest of Nabeshima family/“Nabeshima myoga” (“Nabeshima ginger”);
the Nabeshima clan is a Japanese samurai kin group of Edo period (16th century).
