Description

wood, kaolin, red and black pi, carved with stylized mask face, various emblems and signs, min. dam., traces of insect caused damage, abrasion, small missing parts;
such “story boards” were presented on special festive occasions; for the Teke the motifs could be read like stories (creation myth).
