One-piece stools carved out of a rectangular piece of wood could be carried by the handle that had been carved into them. They were not intended for general, everyday use, but were reserved for the elders or heads of families and important chiefs.


The object Stool “umele” with the object ID 3052080 was last part of the auction Collectors’ Items Sale at September 24, 2025 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 143.
