Description
greyish brown patina, typical facial features and raised scarification marks, min. dam., minor missing parts, slight traces of abrasion, on base;
the Kissi believed that these figures personated their forefathers. When a chief or another important person died the “pomdo” was buried in a rice field or next to a tree planted by the deceased.
