A special feature of this beautiful knife are the brass inlays in the blade.
The Bushongo used to call themselves “people of the throwing knife” after their legendary throwing knife “shongo”. Under the peace-loving King Shamba Bolongo the throwing knife was banned around 1600. In its place he introduced the peace knife “ikul(a)”, which is still used by the Kuba today.
