Description
wood, brown patina, plant fibre, body wrapped in cloth, two small packages with inserted sticks in place of the arms, hat-like headgear, rep. (breakage left foot), traces of insect caused damage;
“phuungu” figures served as containers for protective magical power exercised by the experts against illness, to avenge sorcery and for supernatural assistance in hunting.
