Description

wood,

Statuettes which are used as receptacles or supports for magical preparations “bilongo” are called “biteki”.

The present figure is equipped with numerous depressions for magical mass, of which small remains have been preserved in places (mouth, ears). The drilled holes on the arms indicate that further paraphernalia were originally attached to the figure.

This figure must once have possessed powerful magical powers.
