Description

wood, dark brown patina, big feet and hands, oversized head with forehead crest and several ear piercings, wearing a child on her back, provided with ear and neck adornments, rep. (breakage left heel), small missing parts through insect caused damage, slight traces of abrasion;
mother-and-child images refer to the universal theme of motherhood, underscoring ideas of nourishment, family and continuity of a lineage or state.
