wood, brown patina, red pigment remains, drilled holes, rep. (breakage right elbow), cracks, base.
The Angas are a small ethnic group in north-eastern Nigeria, north of the Benue river. Little is known about their sculpture and their masking tradition seems limited to woven fibre helmet masks.
