Description

wood, brown patina, remains of pigments, striking big head with pointed chin and almond-shaped eyes, min. dam., cracks, small missing parts (right foot tip), sligth traces of abrasion, base;
the Luntu, who are of Luba origin, came from the Luba-Kasai region in their second migration. Though the Luntu are under the jurisdiction of the Luba, their material culture and tradition has been strongly affected by both, the neighbouring Lulua (who are also of Luba origin) and by borderland Songye and Kuba marauders, who established in the area.
