Description
wood, rich reddish brown and dark brown patina, pokerwork, slender trunk with arms close to the body, tripartite neck and small head, abundantly decorated with incised ornaments, columnar legs with vertical striped pattern and projecting hips, ear holes for attachment of ornament, two drilled holes (coiffure/backside), slightly dam., base;
presumably a figure used in connection with the twin cult of the Temne, called “tà-bàri” .
