Description
wood, blackish brown patina, striking big figure with overlong slender trunk, richly adorned with scarification marks, slightly dam., minor missing parts, cracks (right side of head and neck, permanent vertical crack in the upper part of the body), abrasion of paint;
probably carved as decorative attraction for an important public personage to display on the veranda during large gatherings such as funerals or political rallies.
