Description

wood, slightly shiny middle brown patina, scarifications at the upper part of the body and the temples, crested coiffure, cracks, slight traces of abrasion, base;
the small ethnic group of the Kalundwe belongs to the Luba cluster. Their art may be characterized as class-conscious with certain objects reserved for the notables: the chiefs regalia includes among others decorated adzes, clan ancestor figures, double cups, staffs and a stools.
