Description

wood, stained reddish brown patina, two copper rings, kaolin, characteristic facial features: extremely bulging forehead, the eye-zone deepened in a horizontal line, short nose with curved bridge, rectangular teeth-revealing mouth, slightly dam., cracks, missing parts (both foot tips), base;
the Salampasu are mainly known for their masks. Figures are rare, they presumably depict ancestors.
