Description

light brown wood, black paint, kaolin, both hands resting on the chest, open mouth with filed teeth, min. dam., minor missing parts, traces of abrasion, on base;
such figures originate from the contact between Europeans and Africans. They naturally show elements of the traditonal style of the respective region they are made. Its not unusual that there is a touch of humour and criticism implied.
