Description
wood, partly shiny brown patina, a male and a female figure, arranged back to back with the bodies amalgamated, nearly identical faces, cavities in the belly filled with magical mass, sickle-shaped headgear, min. dam.;
such figures appear in different versions: free standing pairs, joined back to back or single statuettes with janus face. They were kept within a special hut in the compound of a headman or chief.
