Description

wood, matt patina, remains of polychrome paint, characteristic physiognomy, striking short legs, hole on top of the head, dam., cracks, traces of insect caused damage and abrasion, base;
ritual object, probably connected with a healing association. The local name of such sculptures is “tadep”. Usually these were carved in male-female pairs. When not in use the “tadep” were stored in granaries, together with other paraphernalias.
