According to Ladislas Segy, this sculpture is a typical example of the figural woodcarving of the Dogon. The figure stands upright with slightly bent knees; the long arms extend at right angles and end in angular, downward-turned hands. Below the bent knees, the figure merges into a carved base, leaving the feet unmodelled.
The object Standing figure with the object ID 3052788 was part of the auction Auction 106 on April 25, 2026, lot number 241 at that time and is currently available for EUR 6,000 in Open sale.
