Description

wood, dark brown patina, blackened in parts, remains of pigments, both hands up to the chin, several drilled holes for insertion/resp. attachment of magical loading, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, base;
such figures are used as receptacles or supports for magical preparations. When they are charged with magical ingredients, the image becomes a particular type of fetish, the medicine-poison that “make ill” - “kukwata” or “make well” - “kubuka” by an invisible influence.

The object Standing figure with the object ID 3042280 was last part of the auction 86th Tribal Art Auction at May 27, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 491.
