Description

wood, face and body entirely coated with a thick encrusted layer of clay-like sacrificial mass, remains of cloth and fibre inbetween, lateral deepenings at shoulder height, a further one in the head which is filled with magical mass, slightly dam., fine cracks, feet and legs marked by insect caused damage;
according to Paul Gebauer formerly used for the ancestral cult.


The object Standing figure with the object ID 3039532 was part of the auction 81st Tribal Art Auction on October 31, 2015. The object with the lot number 403 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,800 with an asking price of EUR 1,500.
