wood, matt dark- and greyish brown patina, brass ring around the neck, typical form with overlong arms enclosing the body in a protective way, the mouth surrounded by radial incisions, drilled eyes, nose and ears, slightly dam., cracks, abrasion of paint, missing parts through insect caused damage (left foot), base;
Mumuye figures are usually known for their unbelievably variegated hair or cap styles. Present figure however shows a bare head with flat sides; the coiffure consists of a small neck lobe backside.
