Description
wood, remains of polychrome paint, arms of different lengths, min. dam., missing parts (foot tips, right upper arm), cracks, traces of abrasion, socle;
the Pindi were the first occupants of the lands between the Kwilu and the Kwenge rivers, and definitely had their own cults and rituals based on sculpture before the people among whom they live today incorporated the Pindi culturally. Their own style can be reconstructed by substracting foreign elements from sculpture found in their villages.
