Description

wood, light brown patina, a simple formed body with symmetrical arranged limbs, crowned by a proportionally small head with hollowed ears, slightly dam., cracks, missing parts (feet, lower jaw right hand side), on metal plate;
present figure can be classified as “dege dal nda”, a so-called “sculpture of the terrace”. They are taken out of storage for the funerals of rich men and dressed and displayed on the rooftop terrace of the deceased. For the rest of the time they were stored in the house of the “hogon”.
