Description
wood, greyish brown patina, encrusted in some areas, belt of natural materials around the hips, of closed contour, a broad and plane body, on short post-like projection, slightly dam. (mouth, chin), cracks, abrasion of paint;
“bochio” figures were placed on village squares or in front of individual houses. They were guardian figures and should keep away evil spirits. Therefore they were provided with magial substances and received various sacrifices in order to consecrate them.
