Description

wood, shiny black patina, strings of miniature glass beads, well-balanced body forms, large face with regular facial features, elaborate fine carved coiffure, slightly dam., strongly marked by abrasion of paint, missing parts (right shank, left foot tip);
with the help of fortunetellers, these “blolo” figurines can intervene in difficult situations or in crises in relationships. Such sculptures are especially useful for cases of childlessness. Offerings also encourage these “loved ones from the other world” to become active.
