The Kuyu held ceremonies in honour of the snake god “dyo”. The French colonial administrator Poupon published various articles about this in 1918-19. The well-known marionette heads mounted on stakes appeared in the “kebe kebe” dance. Poupon also reports on dances with carved figures.

The object Standing female figure with the object ID 3052113 was part of the auction Collectors’ Items Sale on September 24, 2025, lot number 263 at that time and is currently available for EUR 900 in Open sale.
