Description

wood, metal, insect caused damage, base

In connection with this figure, Guy van Rijn refers to three figurally carved axes/sceptres which, in his opinion, seem to come from the same atelier or the same group of artists (cf. AHDRC 0032466 - 0032461 - 0032464). Especially with the figure of the first mentioned object, this figure shows stylistic similarities regarding body shapes, scarifications and the distinctive hairstyle.

The object Standing female figure with the object ID 3048759 was last part of the auction 98th Auction at March 26, 2022 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 87 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,000.
