wood, encrusted brown patina, remains of pigments, eyes and forehead crest decorated with red seeds, min. dam., crack (forehead crest), missing parts through insect caused damage (feet), traces of abrasion, base;
the purpose of Igala female figures is to enhance fertility and underline social status.
